Testimonials"Tennis - WTA Top 70 Professional Within the first hour of working with Marshal I was able to hit the ball with less effort and more effectiveness through the understanding of biomechanics in tennis. It was exciting, beyond words, to see how much more potential can be brought out in such a short time through knowing and understanding the science of the game both technically and tactically. It’s this sort of knowledge that will differentiate a “good player” (top 10), to a “champion” No #1 in the world. "Tennis I began the year 2000 in my 40th year. While I can typify my life as active and sports focused, I had never played a game of tennis until the year 2000.
My background: I didn’t play cricket (preferring athletics, swimming and rowing in summer) or hockey (preferring Australian rules and soccer in Winter). The only hand-eye games I played were table tennis and golf (the latter I took up at 32 years). However I was quite physically strong (gym), had a good sense of balance (martial arts) and was generally disposed to “picking up things quickly”.
I sought Marshal’s assistance and he was happy to oblige. Over the course of the year I received 28 hours of maximum performance tennis coaching. This doesn’t sound much, however I can attest that the progress made, and personal achievement felt, was immense. By the end of the year I was able to compete at a social level with B and C grade social players.
It was clear that I was “way past it” in terms of doing anything meaningful (in a career sense) with tennis. However, as a student of philosophy, logic, process, understanding and principle, there were many invaluable insights which I gained about Marshal and his tutelage during the course of the year, some of which I highlight below:
1. A consistently positive, “can-do”, approach 2. A genuine passion for excellence and continual improvement 3. A focus on the individual – locating and reinforcing personal strengths 4. An ability to convey and communicate complex principles in a simple manner 5. The “why” of things – applying the principles of biomechanics and physics 6. A winning philosophy.
Note that these highlighted insights are not tennis-specific, rather they are part of Marshal’s maximum performance approach. As such they can be applied to other sports, and other aspects of personal development.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend Marshal and his maximum performance approach to those of you who are looking to make a major leap in the development of your sporting or learning discipline."
"As a business associate of Marshal McMahon I knew about his work in the field of maximum performance. So when I developed tennis elbow, I turned to him for advice. What a revelation I was in for! Rather than treating the pain, he quickly analysed the real problem as my hitting technique. With simple adjustments – one session – he not only showed me how to hit the ball without pain, but, better still, he also revolutionised my tennis. I am now hitting the ball better than I thought possible. Maximum performance? Indeed!" "Doing is believing. My tennis improved 100% after 2 sessions where Marshal helped me discover my true abilities (for years I focussed on improved fitness as a means of winning). I knew he was an expert in human biomechanics however I had no concept as to the extent of the mental blocks and biomechanically limiting things I was doing on the court. My backhand is now a strength rather than something I feared and my serve is an amoury where I can manouver opponents out of position. With my body free to play more accurately came an increased aggression on the court fed by my confidence and this in turn was reinforced by Marshal and my conversations off court regarding the mental and strategic aspects of tennis. Friends I now play get wiped off the court where once it was a tussle. The instantaneous improvement in my game is still difficult to comprehend and the improvement on court has lead me to aim higher in everything I do off court. I commend Marshal to anyone willing to free their mind and body to experience just what they can achieve."
